The Lord asked that Aaron wear the headband sealed HOLY TO THE LORD so that he may bear the guilt (sin) connected with the holy offerings brought by the Israelites to the Lord. He was told he must always wear this headband in order to be acceptable to the Lord. When the people would bring their gifts to the tabernacle to be consecrated to make it holy for the Lord, it meant that the gift, whatever it may be, needed to be cleaned from sin so that it was pure and therefore the Lord could accept it. Aaron will then bear the sin of that gift instead. You may or may not know it yet, but we are all sealed, like Aaron, as servants of God (Revelation 7:3). Also, we are all also “cleaning ourselves” from sin so that we may be acceptable for the Lord (Romans 12:1). Who bears our sin when we are consecrated? Jesus! (1 Peter 2:24) Now that Jesus Christ took our guilt, we all wear the seal on our foreheads as servants of God, to find ourselves as acceptable gifts for the Lord! Do you know what this means for you? You are free of guilt from your sin and are alive through Christ Jesus! If you believe that He did this for you, then God has washed you of every impurity and has made you clean, and holy just like His Son Jesus Christ. You and I did nothing, absolutely nothing, to earn this amount of grace, but He gifted us this mercy that He will overlook all of our guilt to make us in the same position of Christ when we are covered by His blood. All we have to do is believe in our hearts that Jesus Christ is Lord, profess it with our mouths, and welcome His Spirit into our hearts to live forever. I pray you have already chosen to live with Christ forever, but if you haven’t, make today the day that God is able to wash you of all of your guilt. Praise the Lord for His redemption of our lives!
“They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads.”
Revelation 9:4
