Being covered in the blood of Christ means that we are clean as we are perpetually presented to our Father by Jesus as Christ Himself. That being said, I do want to reiterate the importance of the Old Testament and the understanding of God’s laws and what that means in our faith of Jesus Christ the Messiah. In case you haven’t read the Old Testament in a while, It’s important to first realize that Moses was the foreshadowing if Jesus. Like Moses delivered the Israelítes from Egypt, Jesus Christ will deliver us from the sin of this world. God saved His people before He ever gave them any law to follow. Like Jesus, who died on the cross and resurrected to be our sacrifice for the LORD nearly 2,000 years before any of us were ever born to follow any law. We do not obey the law to be saved - God’s already done that for us. But, like God gave the Israelites the law to worship and obey Him after they were freed according to His grace, we also should worship and obey Him in gratitude and remembrance of His great hand in our lives and the difference His work has done for us all. Because we are free from sin in Christ, we worship God in gratitude of that salvation, not for it. Obedience to the law can never have any affect on your salvation because He’s already done that for you. However, He does say “they will bear the consequences of their sin.”
“he said to them, “I have very much wanted to eat this Passover meal with you before I suffer. I tell you I will not eat another Passover meal until it is finally eaten in God's kingdom.”” Luke 22:15-16
In the Kingdom of God, which has not yet come, there will no longer be sin. We will follow every command perfectly and obediently as intended. The land that He is giving us will be beautiful! The promise is already there. He can’t take it away. He is so faithful to the bone that He physically cannot remove His promise. So, it is a reminder that first he saves us by His covenant, and then we worship Him because of His amazing promise that we never, ever deserve!
If you are already filled with the Holy Spirit, then do not miss this opportunity today to start worshipping our LORD according to His decrees. If you have not yet proclaimed that the LORD is your Savior, then do not miss out on the opportunity to ask Him today to free you from your slavery of sin so that you can share in the love of our One True Father 🤍
