All history leads to the LORD. Ever since the snake was cursed in Eden, Father has planned the redemption of His people. In Exodus, we see how Moses foreshadows this redemption. In Leviticus, we see how Moses foreshadows the teaching of His people, and now we see how Joshua foreshadows the annihilation of the surrounding nations and how HaShem will fight for His people.
A remnant of the surrounding Gentiles will attach themselves to His people in order to form an alliance which He will be faithful to observe. However, the others will be exterminated from the hardness of their hearts and stubbornness to make Israel their dwelling. Where is your heart committed? The land of all these outside nations will be the Promised Land for His people and then the land and His people will rest from war as an eternal Shabbat. Blessed are you LORD, Redeemer of Israel.
