Ladies, please take a minute to read Joshua chapter 3 with me today.

I can’t wait for this day. Israel’s entrance into the Land was marked by meticulous obedience in following the LORD’s instructions. No longer was the Divine Presence in the pillar of cloud leading the people, but now the LORD’s presence would travel ahead in the ark leading the people. When we cross into the Land the final time, it will be the LORD Himself, embodied in the form of Jesus Christ, leading His people. In both salvation stories of the Exodus and in this chapter, the LORD’s people go across safely on dry ground. There is a third and final time, however, where He has promised to lead His people into Zion by His light that will shine to the ends of the earth. He promises that we will arrive safely to His Land, and He has given us both of these redemption stories as an example to foreshadow His final redemption of His people on His day. There, He will write the law upon our hearts and teach us all how to obey His instructions completely. There will be no more sin. We will worship and sing “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Hosts; His glory fills the whole earth” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭6:3‬. Until then, we patiently await His hour. Keep your lamps lit. May He come quickly to lead us to His Holy city Jerusalem 🤍
