“God sent me ahead of you to establish you as a remnant within the land and to keep you alive by a great deliverance.” -7
Lord, I know only a remnant of the people will be kept alive at the time of Your great deliverance. I know that this is an evil world and that most are enslaved by the enemy and will continue to live with the enemy after Your day comes. I am praying earnestly to be a part of that remnant. I pray that when You come to establish Your New Heaven and New Earth, that that plan involves me as well. I know that in this evil world, people will hate and criticize me just as they did my Lord, Jesus Christ, and that I should rejoice when that happens because that means the enemy can see my Lord inside of me. I am asking for strength to remain quiet when that happens, Lord, as Jesus did. I am also praying for the compassion to sin against no one as He did as well. I need Your strength in these evil days so to not be deceived and to be as forgiving as Joseph was in this chapter. I can’t do this on my own. Amen.
Scripture memory: “Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:”
Romans 9:27
Yes ma’am and their families settling in Egypt leads us right into the Exodus story! I can’t wait!
I would have to agree Joseph is a great role model to all of us I too hope to not be deceived but to be as forgiving as Joseph.❤️
In chapter 45, I was happy to read that Joseph finally comes clean with everything and accepted his brothers back with open arms as if they have passed the ultimate test. You can tell that Joseph really missed his family even with everything he been through he never stopped thinking about them, held a grudge or had any ill will towards them but he just continues to give all the honor and glory to God. As God always had a plan for Joseph I too took note on this quote:
