Poor Joseph, he has another opportunity of freedom and the cupbearer “did not remember him.” But what really stood out to me in this chapter was where Joseph said “Don’t interpretations belong to God?” It’s so true, but not only with dreams. And we know not to lean on our own understanding but His, but do we really do that while evaluating ourselves? Think of the man that works hard at 2 jobs to only provide for his family very little. His interpretation of his life might be very lowly, but does that matter? If he were to look at his life through Heaven’s eyes, I’m sure he would see a big smile due to the efforts he puts into denying himself to serve his God-given family daily. That could be said about us mommas, too. I’m sure there’s days where we all feel just rotten about our choices that day, whether it’s how we spoke to our children or to our husbands or how we reacted over a given situation. However, God understands that our efforts will never measure up to where they need to be so the Lord‘s interpretation will always be gracious and forgiving when we go to him asking for help since he knows how troubling our nature is. Interpretations belong to God, so no matter what you see around in your life right now, just be still. Try not to be so wrapped up in your emotions, which also requires not thinking too much about anything. Give it all to God, holding every thought captive to Him, and don’t lean on your own understanding, but only on God’s interpretation. Are you leaning on Him for forgiveness, teaching, wisdom, and guidance? Are you then submitting to those? Then don’t beat yourself up and walk with your head high in “no condemnation!” He loves you so much, sis. Have a blessed day!

God will deliver him. Great points!!
Here’s my take on chapter 40, when Joseph mentions don’t interpretations belong to God and the fact that he was able to interpret the dreams accurately is evident that God is within him. God is also within us when we are trying to interpret his word. I also felt bad for Joseph as when the chief butler was freed he was so caught up in the world that he forgot all about who he left behind. I do wonder how Joseph will be find freedom from this dungeon.
