Genesis 30

chapter 30 is hard to read because I couldn't imagine letting my husband sleep with other women let alone my sister and then I couldn't imagine calling another woman's child my own... but those were the customs of the day and here we are... the main takeaway is the explanation of how Jacob (later known as Israel) bore 12 sons (the 12 tribes of Israel) and how Israel (Jacob) became very wealthy and the example of how his uncle was blessed through him..... fulfilling God's promise that he will have many descendants and Abraham will be the father of many and that the nations will be blessed through them...
