Genesis 29

“Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham. Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.”

Chapter 29 starts off with a symbol of Jesus... a well that waters 3 flocks of sheep (at the time until the rest of the flocks are gathered)... and jacobs successful journey to his uncle Laban. After a month of working Jacob asks to work 7 years for Rachel... that's amazing... and his uncle deceived him by giving him Leah instead and then Rachel for working another 7 years.... but i think the main point is that 7 years is a long time to wait for a wife, a. And also a long time to work for a wife, b. And when Jacob was deceived he made no curses toward his uncle or did anything out of anger, even though I personally would be quite angry. He is a very faithful and obedient example for us. What was your take?
