It’s hard to imagine that there are still parts of the world who don’t know about the Lord! But it’s true - that’s why mission trips are so important so that the world may glorify Him. I couldn’t imagine living in a nation that worshipped a lesser god where the people didn’t know about the life that comes with the True Lord of the earth. His name has to be proclaimed to the ends of the earth before we can be called Home, so that not one of His children dies.
Sometimes it’s hard to understand why evil people seem so successful or happy or seem to have such rich, long lives like Pharaoh. He seems untouchable but the Lord makes it very clear - He can destroy him in an instant. He has only kept him alive this long to show His power. It is the same with the wickedness we see in the world today. Moses was 80 years old when he went back to Pharaoh, that means for over 100 years the Israelites suffered through this slavery. Is it because the Lord doesn’t care? Of course not! You must not let the wickedness you see discourage your faith. The Lord works to glorify Himself so that His work can be done and we may all live peacefully in eternity with Him. The Lord does not work to glorify you. Let me say it again, the Lord does not work to glorify you and your life. If you are comparing your life to others and becoming angry because you feel that you are disadvantaged in any way, then you are missing the point of God and you are being highly deceived by the enemy. Be careful.
The Lord keeps those alive who are wicked for a purpose, He calls others to sleep for a purpose, he works in mysterious ways to us, but in ways that have been planned since creation to Him. Don’t love your life so much on this earth that you let sickness, death, or discomfort, lead you to sin against your Lord and harden your heart. His punishment is far worse than what you are experiencing, but also, His promise is far BETTER. Just hold your head up sister 🤍 One day at a time.
“But that's not all! We gladly suffer, because we know that suffering helps us to endure. And endurance builds character, which gives us a hope”
Romans 5:3-4
The example of the Lord is for everyone until the end of time 🤍
Moses knew he wouldn’t listen because the Lord kept telling him he would harden Pharaoh’s heart so that he wouldn’t. The Lord did all of this to show His strength and His powerful plan for salvation.
I agree so powerful and well said. I love how you tied everything back to what we are dealing with in the world today making those connections so much relatability in this post❤️
In chapter 9 of Exodus, it discussed how God continued to show the separation with his people like he did when he cast the flies, now he has shown separation within the cattle.
Exodus 9:7 “And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.”
Why go through all the trouble convincing this one man to let go of this group of people? Why couldn’t the…
