Exodus 8

Writer's picture: SofiaSofia
I will make a distinction between My people and your people. This sign will take place tomorrow. Verse 23

The Lord distinctly knows who is His and who isn’t. He protects and fights for His children. He fights with plagues, and judgement. If you are wondering where Covid came from and why it is so random, look to God. He is the only one in control of it all. He is fighting for His people from the enemy so that they may be freed to worship Him. The enemy is refusing to let His people go, so, the Lord is plaguing all of his territory and his people.

But on that day I will give special treatment to the land of Goshen, where My people are living; no flies will be there. This way you will know that I, Yahweh, am in the land. (Verse 22)

Imagine His sadness when the Lord sees one of His children struggling with loss, with affliction, with the plagues of the enemy, and is still refusing to seek Him for freedom. Don’t seek politics or masks, seek the Lord! His yoke is so much lighter than the world’s and He promises to protect us from it all! His only command when we are freed from the land is that we go worship Him. Not in the land, because the Lord is detestable to the land, but He told them to go away from the land, into the wilderness to worship Him.

We must go a distance of three days into the wilderness and sacrifice to the Lord our God as He instructs us.” Verse 27

Sister, are you removing yourself from the land in order to worship the Lord? Could you maybe travel farther away from the land where your Lord is detestable? I don’t mean this physically, but in your heart... are there more matters of the world or of God? Could this need some work today? Is there a friend you know that is suffering from anxiety and pain and loss in this world that needs to hear today that the Lord will set them free and protect them for eternity? All she needs to do is seek Him and be returned back to Him because He misses his beloved child so much and has been fighting for her! Maybe she doesn’t know this fight has been for her so let her know today.

May we all, then, travel in freedom away from the land in order to worship our Lord Jesus 🤍

The Lord is hardening Pharaoh’s heart on purpose so that He may perform His signs for everyone so that we have His example forever

Great message.❤️

Chapter 8 of Exodus discussed how Moses and Aaron continued to try to convince the Pharaoh to let the Israelites go however the Pharaoh didn’t believe them and continued to challenged them and harden his heart. Which eventually led to him ignoring the brothers request again and again and again leading to frogs, lice, and flies taking over all of Egypt even when the magicians confirmed that it has indeed been the act of God.

Verse 19: “Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the Lord had said.”

Why must the Pharaoh hold on to this power struggle?
