22, She gave birth to a son whom he named Gershom, for he said, “I have been a foreigner in a foreign land.”
Here is another man of God leaving his home and living as a foreigner. Have you ever felt like you just don’t “fit in,” like you just don’t “belong?” If you have, then you’re in good company, sister. We, who have died and live through Christ, are no longer a part of this world. We now live in the hope of a better world, not concerned with the matters of this one. We don’t care about the same things the people of this world do, we don’t have the same goals, we don’t get upset about the same things... to them we might as well be aliens from the movies. They can’t understand anything we care about because they don’t know God. Have hope if you feel alone today, because it is much better to live as a foreigner now and to be called home later then to make this place your home now, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth later. 🤍
