So much of this evil world robs us of our stillness, our calmness, our quietness. Pray for the Lord to help you to remain quiet from all of the noise of worry, fear, anger, and frustration of the world, so that He may quiet your spirit today. What’s making you short-tempered or annoyed? Those feelings do not promote the righteousness of God. When we’re angry or worried, we are showing the Lord that we are not putting 100% faith in His plan. When we’re worried it’s because we feel as though we have the control over a certain outcome and that the success or failure would depend on us when that is a complete lie. What are you trying to control today instead of putting your trust fully in His hands? Try and make a list every time you feel your stillness and quiet spirit being robbed so that you can hand these matters over to God for His hand to work in your life in order to see His glory. In the process, may the Lord help us remember that we must be still, because He is always fighting for us. 🤍
“Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.”
1 Peter 3:3-4
Amen, great idea!
After reading chapter 14 of Exodus, the Israelites were continuing their journey however the Egyptians were angry and wanted to go after the Israelites and bring them back to Egypt:
Exodus 14:5 “And it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled: and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people, and they said, Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?”
The Egyptian’s were unsuccessful in their capture as God had Moses split the sea and the Egyptian’s became victims of its wrath when they tried to follow behind Gods people.
