Exodus 12

Writer's picture: SofiaSofia

It’s so important that we tell all of our descendants the story of the Passover and how He spared the homes of the Israelites when He struck down the enemy since He promises that He will do it again... And then we will bow down and worship Him. Thank God that He gave His one and only Son as our living sacrifice and shed His blood for the protection of us all so that we may be passed over when the wrath for the enemy comes down from Heaven on His day. This celebration isn’t supposed to just be a ritualistic holiday that we honor for our own righteousness (decorations, food, tableware, pictures, etc.), but out of the bottom of our hearts as a form of sincere gratitude that the Lord gave us this example of His awesome salvation and powerful hand - and the promise that He will do it again to bring us to our Promised Land one day too!

“This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26:28‬

In Exodus chapter 12, Moses and Aaron was finally able to convince the Pharaoh to let the Israelites go.

Verse 42 “It is a night to be much observed unto the Lord for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of the Lord to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations.”

From your understanding and the understanding of his word I now understand the true meaning of celebrating the Lords Passover. I look forward to honoring this day even more now that I understand more about it for myself. Thank you!
